The School of Architecture of Lyon consists of a main building organised along an interior street leading to a semi-circular administration hall. Protected by a glass roof a series of walkways, bridging the interior street, link the studio spaces on the first floor. The latter benefit from a certain transparency due to an articulated roof structure and glazed double facade.
On the ground floor the arched volumes of the class rooms, contrast with the lighter nature of the studios, demonstrating the all important contradiction between theoretical knowledge and autonomous creation
